MACU Basketball Standout Awarded ‘Heart of a Champion’

Adding to an impressive list of accomplishments during his career at Mid-America Christian University, basketball standout Malcolm Mann added “Heart of a Champion” to his repertoire during the TopAchievers Performance Sports Award Gala on June 24 in Plano, Texas.

Mann, who recently received the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Game Plan 4 Life (GP4L) award, was given the “Heart of a Champion” for his honor and integrity on and off the court. The award was presented by MACU President Dr. John Fozard. Continue reading

Two Influential Pastors Receive Honorary Degrees from MACU

Mid-America Christian University honored two influential Church of God leaders during commencement services on Saturday, May 13, at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City. MACU Honors Marvin Middlebrooks as Professor Emeritus

Mid-America Christian University has named Marvin Middlebrooks, beloved ministry professor of 24 years, as professor emeritus ahead of his December retirement. During university chapel services, MACU board chairman Dr. Claude Robold presented Middlebrooks with the title and medal in front of his colleagues and the MACU student body. Continue reading

MACU Dedicates Residence Hall in Honor of Lillie McCutcheon


Mid-America Christian University (MACU) faculty/staff, students, stakeholders and local leaders participated in a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the newest 40,000-square-foot residence hall on Wednesday, October 21.

“It is truly exciting to name a facility [on our campus] in honor of Dr. Lillie McCutcheon; her life’s work is a true reflection of our foundation and vision. She had a profound dedication to Christ and selfless love for his people. Though she had many titles—from national figure, author, radio/television personality, beloved pastor to powerful lecturer—it was her unique ability to enlighten, strengthen and charge women and men for Christian service that earned her tremendous respect. Dr. McCutcheon left a legacy of leadership. May we all strive to influence people for Christ as she did,” said Mid-America president, Dr. John Fozard. Continue reading

MACU Breaks Ground for New Residence Hall

Friday morning, November 1, 2013, Mid-America Christian University (MACU.edu) broke ground for a new 30,000-square-foot residence hall that will be built on the university main campus.

The event was held outdoors on the site where the residence hall is to be constructed and was attended by more than 300 members of the Mid-America community, including residential students, faculty, staff, as well as representatives of the Board of Trustees. Continue reading
