CBH Co-host/AU Professor Offers “Preacher Girls” New Resource

Women in ministry face different challenges than their male peers. Of course, there’s the challenge of equal opportunity in congregations—even in the Church of God. But, another challenge tests the tenacity of women divinely called by God and, at the same time, demonstrates their uniquely gifted abilities to balance multiple assignments. How do these women in ministry, many of whom were called after their college years, find time to hone their craft amid jobs, community involvements, and parenting, for example? Thankfully, a trusted voice in the Church of God now offers a solution: Preacher Girl School. CBH ViewPoint co-host and Anderson University professor Kimberly Majeski convenes the online experience, led by women in ministry, for women in ministry, all to help take their preaching to the next level. Leadership Focus Impact Expands to Nearly 200 Ministerial Candidates

Leadership Focus is a training program for candidates in the Church of God credentialing process. There are now sixteen states that are using Leadership Focus to train their candidates. In addition, Church of God Ministries has developed a partnership with Indiana Ministries and the School of Theology, so that all SOT students headed for ministry in the Church of God can go through Leadership Focus at no cost to the student while they are concurrently pursuing their master’s degree. This is not only a financial advantage to the SOT student, but positions them for ordination within a short time following their graduation from the SOT and accepting a ministry position.
