Students Remind Us That “The Dream” Still Matters

On Monday, January 20, 2020, Anderson University will celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of service projects and opportunities for reflection and hands-on learning. Classes will be suspended for the day. Monday, January 20, will include the traditional Anderson University participation in the citywide MLK Jr. Day celebration at the Paramount Theatre. Students can take advantage of the shuttle service from Olt Student Center every fifteen minutes between 11:30 AM and 12:45 PM. The citywide celebration will conclude with the annual Peace and Justice March from Paramount Theatre to Reardon Auditorium. Continue reading

Orlando, Florida, is home to more than a dozen theme parks. If you’ve ever been there, you’ve probably at least visited Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. Maybe you played a round of golf under the sunlit palm trees, or perhaps you hit the beach when you realized the ocean’s only an hour away. But there’s so much more to Orlando than Mickey Mouse, sunshine, and scream-inducing thrill rides. CHOG Convention 2014: Reunions, Receptions, and Refreshments

Behind the lights, sound, big-name speakers, and programming of the Church of God Convention 2014, is a family. When Church of God people gather together from coast to coast, inevitably some saint will address another as sister or brother. Even Bill Gaither recognized the family nature of the church in his classic “Family of God” tune. When the Church of God plans a convention, it’s impossible for the family members not to mingle, reacquaint, and make special connections based on shared experiences.
