The Church of God will host fifty-five official delegates as part of the Global Gathering event in Anderson, Indiana, June 22–25, 2013. The Global Gathering, with the theme of “Standing Together,” will open with a Global Forum to discuss pressing global issues facing our movement, including strengthening global connectedness, ensuring doctrinal unity, and addressing world hunger.

The Global Gathering marks the first event of its kind since 1999, when the last World Conference was held in Birmingham, England. National and international Church of God leaders will represent more than fifty countries, including Peru, Burkina Faso, Hungary, and Brazil. The list of delegates includes David Ravell (Australia), Tapan Borman (Bangladesh), Isai Calderon (Guatemala), Daniele Santonocito (Italy), Joy Mallouh (Lebanon), Dorothy Colney (Myanmar), and Alan Lwo (Central Asia). A complete list of delegates and representatives will be available soon at www.chog.org/GlobalGathering.

Doris Dale, associate director of the Global Gathering, notes “This is going to be a tremendous time in the life of the church. We are ‘standing together’ to meet the needs of a changing world that is longing for Christ’s love.”

To ensure that all fifty-five delegates are able to participate, the Global Gathering program committee is seeking the support of Church of God congregations, ministries, and individual donors. If you wish to help sponsor an official delegate, please contact Dewayne Repass at 800-848-2464, ext. 2121, or DRepass@chog.org.
